/01How accurate are the measurements?+
All measurements are computed with Turf.js against real WGS-84 coordinates. Areas use spherical-excess geodesy, distances use the haversine formula. Numbers are accurate enough for fence quoting, irrigation planning, and site concept work — they are not a substitute for a registered survey for legal boundaries.
/02Is there a free plan?+
Yes. Starter is free forever — one active project, 25 shapes, 2 layers, 100 map loads per month. No credit card required to start.
/03Does it work offline?+
No — TerraGrid streams live satellite tiles from Mapbox, so it needs a connection. Your viewport position is stored in localStorage so a refresh never loses your place, and edits sync to Supabase the moment they happen.
/04Can I export to KML / GeoJSON / DXF?+
PDF export is available today on every plan. KML and GeoJSON export are next on the roadmap; DXF is being scoped. If you need a specific format, let us know — we prioritise based on real demand.
/05Who is TerraGrid for?+
Farmers planning fencing and irrigation, property owners mapping boundaries, landscape designers planning zones, small developers sketching site layouts, fence and paving contractors quoting work. Anyone who needs to draw on a map and measure land.
